The 1890 D-REEU Program allows select undergraduate students within the 1890 network to match with a faculty mentor a participating 1890 Land-grant colleges/universities for a summer research experience at the faculty mentor’s home institution.Ìý
Interns selected for the program will have the opportunity to be directly involved in a research project and interact with graduate students and professors on a daily basis. This experience is especially valuable for students who are considering graduate school and institutions that are interested in elevating available graduate and specialty programs. The 1890 D-REEU program will provide first-hand experiences of what graduate school can be like while increasing an interns’ competitiveness as an applicant for graduate admissions and fellowships. Faculty mentors will have the opportunity to work on their research project with new students from other institutions while introducing students to their campus community.ÌýÌý
Interns will receive a stipend of $500 per week for research, up to 8 weeks.
Applicants should be undergraduate students currently enrolled in a degree awarding program at an 1890 Land Grant University. Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors with interests in doing an 8-week research and extension immersion in food, agriculture, natural resources and climate sciences. International students are also welcome to apply.ÌýÌý
