The Library Computer Lab, located on the 3rd floor of the Main Library, offers access to 42 AMD IBM Lenovo (ThinkCentre) workstations loaded with Microsoft Office 2010 Suite and high-speed Internet access.Ìý It also contains ceiling-mounted video projection, video cassette player, DVD player, speaker system, and wireless networking capability.Ìý

Special Collections and the Albert L. Murray Permanent ExhibitÌý

The Special Collections consists of: The Albert Murray Collection, the Rare Books Collection, the Washington Collection, and the Dr. James E. Massey Collection. Established in 1999, the Rare Books Collection consists of titles with publication dates in the 19th century, particularly those dealing with the institution of slavery and early African America literature, books published before the 1900’s, books published in limited editions, first editions, and autographed books.Ìý The collection also contains a sizeable collection of abolitionist literature and a large collection of pamphlets dealing primarily with racial issues.ÌýÌý
