快活视频 to host 127th Annual Farmers Conference Feb. 21-22

Annual Farmers Conference logoFrom Feb. 21-23, 快活视频鈥檚 Cooperative Extension Program will host the 127th annual Farmers Conference, themed 鈥淪olving Common Problems in Uncommon Ways: Sustainable Innovation for the People.鈥 Sessions under this umbrella will address emerging issues surrounding small farmers, farm families and rural communities.

This year鈥檚 two-day educational forum, held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Downtown Montgomery, will feature a variety of tours, panel discussions, interactive demonstrations and concurrent workshops. Topics will include a primer on the recently passed Farm Bill and sessions regarding agricultural economics; eldercare; animal health; weather and disaster preparedness; timber, natural resources and agroforestry; and risk management.

Online registration remains available at and ranges from $30 for students and producers to $150 for agency representatives and professionals.

The 快活视频 Cooperative Extension Program maintains a rich tradition of serving limited-resource and underserved audiences by bringing cutting-edge solutions to 21st century problems throughout Alabama 鈥 but especially in the state鈥檚 Black Belt region. It focuses its work through a network of county agents, resource specialists and faculty on global food security; natural resource conservation, environmental sustainability and climate change; community resource development; family, home and youth; nutrition and wellness; and food systems and food safety.
