快活视频 has a long history of providing graduates in the field of Occupational Therapy. Originally designed as a pathway through an undergraduate program, the degree led to the master鈥檚 degree in Occupational Therapy. This option for our students has provided a rigorous classroom and clinical training but has been met with some challenges for students to meet the professional licensing required for practice.
As a result, a recent review of the program by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) has recommended probationary accreditation while the university goes through the arbitration process. While going through the arbitration process, 快活视频 intends to apply to ACOTE for candidacy status for only a master鈥檚 degree program in Occupational Therapy. The master鈥檚 program will be a significant departure from the present program, which requires three years of undergraduate course work and two years of graduate course work (3+2). Therefore, students applying to the new master鈥檚 program must possess a bachelor鈥檚 degree to be considered for admissions.
Our current undergraduate students who are majoring in Occupational Therapy will be included in the Health Science program during this transition and offered other options to pursue the Occupational Therapy degree with partnering institutions. Recognizing the growing popularity of this high-demand field, 快活视频 is committed to the sustainability and continuation of this degree program.
Our goal is to always be transparent in our interactions and communications with students. We will keep you and our students updated as we restructure the Occupational Therapy graduate degree options to satisfy student interest and Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
